Dearly Departed

Jeremiah has become more sensitive in the last few years. He makes "friends" in all sorts of strange places and has quite an imagination. He is very much like I was as a kid.

His most recent adventure involved a worm named Donny. Donny wanted to go swimming real bad. His friend, Chris, went swimming all the time. Donny didn't know he couldn't swim and neither did Jeremiah. So Jeremiah took him to the cat bowl to try out his fins. Poor Donny stopped wiggling and squirming and just got real still.

He must have died because there now stands a grave in his honor. It even has a headstone.

Poor Donny, may he rest in peace.

My Christmas Gift

The kids and I have been plotting on eachother. Each evening I disappeared to my room to work on hats while they conspired downstairs on my gift.

They made the most clever card I have ever received. It was made much like their folderbooks.

Each child worked on a section.

Ishmael drew this computer. It is a copy of my favorite message board. He says, "We know who you are going to show this to." And he was so right ;).

Kelsea's made me laugh out loud. I can not count the number of times the kids have spilled my coffee.

Jeremiah's was sweet because they usually complain about me always having the camera out.
