More Fun and Games

After our Nerf War, we all come inside and have a nice lunch and relax. They guys play the Playstation. The kids run around in different directions. And Tawna and I do what we do best.


Later that evening, we get everyone back together for a game of Pictionary! Bakers v/s Jacobs.

Tawna and I make a stack of 20 cards each for the other's family. Mostly we have easy cards so that all the kids can join in and have fun.




Kelsea worked on her social skills.






When we got to the bottom of our stacks, the guys took over. The words got harder. Oh it was ON!




We start getting words like "incubation" and "knock-knock jokes".

Connor was doing so well with "police man" that I was shaking in my socks a bit...But wait! The Jacobs do not make the point! Go Bakers!!!


Kelsea really was having a good time. We just like to tease her a bit.


I give my little friend, Kylie, the word "dice". I expected her to draw a few squares with some dots on them.


Instead she draws a knife, a carrot, and diced pieces of carrot. Ha!!! We love Kylie. She is so stinkin' smart!

I just know I have a good one for Tawna. I give her "holy matrimony".


She draws a stick figure of "Jesus" and Jason guesses right!!!

It was pretty much a tie game. We all had so much fun.

After the children go to bed the adults stay up for on more Hurrah!.

Tawna just loves Clue. Can't you tell?




Board games just bring out the best in Tawna. I just love her winning smile.


I was so sad when the Jacobs had to go back home. We had so much fun together.

Nerf War!

Objective:

Be the last team standing. Collect all the ammo rendering the other teams helpless.

Rules:

#1. If you get shot in the arm or legs, you have to freeze for 10 seconds.

#2. If you get shot in the torso, you have to freeze for 20 seconds or your partner can unfreeze you.

#3. If all of the teammates are frozen at the same time the whole team has to go to the picnic shelter for 1 min.

#4. If you get shot in the torso 3 times, you are dead. Return to the picnic shelter until the end of the game. Do not pass go.

#5. If you get shot in the head, you are dead. Return to the picnic shelter until the end of the game.

#6. If you run out of ammo, you are dead. Etc.

I take this game seriously.




For some reason, Leon is not intimidated. He even stops to take a phone call from his mama.


It looks like Leon's intuition is correct. Nothing to fear here (Tawna's gun is jammed).






Looks like Tawna's gun is still jammed.


We meet back under the picnic shelter to regroup and reload.






Tawna's having really bad luck with her gun so she's going to take pictures instead.


We regroup into 2 teams with the dads as team captains.


Foxhole!




I get frozen, but never fear. Tawna is right there to make sure I don't cheat.


Tawna is cold. Imagine that.

New Year's Eve

Our friends, the Jacobs, came over to bring in the new year with us. We love their family and we are all alike in so many ways.

New Year's Eve:
The kids watched some movies.


The adults played Monopoly. It happens to be Leon's favorite game.


However, it is Jason's least favorite. He says, "Monopoly is the Devil."(bonus points if someone can name that movie)

But he'll humor the rest of us and play anyway.


I think Tawna is plottin' on us.


Sigh...Leon, Leon, Leon. I do know the rules.


We were so caught up in the game we almost missed the changeover.

Look's like the Jason wins the gold! Good sport that he is.
